Networking and DVR Selection: $150.00 CDN

This course covers networking fundamentals and considerations for DVR selection. It is designed to cater to security professionals and help with situations they may encounter on any job site. Learn about routing, port forwarding, network topologies, troubleshooting, terminologies used, types of hardware and much more. Also learn from our PTSO Instructors what considerations need to be made when selecting and installing a DVR.

Video Over IP: $150.00 CDN

This is a Level Two course discussing the convergence of CCTV security products and IP systems that is occurring throughout the market. It includes the pros and cons of Analog vs. IP products, what to look for in choosing IP cameras and recorders and network design. A review of basic networking is included, but Networking and DVR Selection is a prerequisite.

These courses are full day courses taught by a PTSO Instructor. Once you have completed a course, you must pass the exam to become certified. The exams for any PTSO course are online exams which can be taken whenever the student feels they have learned the material and are ready. Class size is limited to 16 students per class.
